Heaven on Earth

Surfer chick Rachel
Kip surfing at night. Yes, that's the moon.
It was fun to watch the moon rise over that ridge.
So the story behind these poker chips: the girls went for a walk. While we were gone the boys decided to go for a midnight surfing ride. The girls get back to the house boat, find the boys gone, get pissed off because we weren't invited, so we leave them a nasty note and go to bed. In the end the boys apologized and we were never left out again. Girls rule!
This paddle board was the best! Piece of cake with one person, but throw on another person and it's a little harder. Our goal was 3 but we never got it...
Happy Birthday to Cassie!
Queen Patti and King Lon on the paddle surf board.
Nap time! At least one a day, fabulous!
Our home for the week.
Our backyard.
The Child's invited us again to Lake Powell this year. We can't thank them enough! We had such a great time! THANK YOU CHILD FAMILY! You're the best!

4th of July

Tradition! We kind of broke tradition and ran the 10K, not the 5K, this year. It was fun! Well, I had fun, I can't speak for everyone else... The best part of the day was crossing the finish line and knowing the next item for the day was LAKE POWELL!!!

Waterfall Canyon Hike

The clan!

I took our Young Women on a hike up to Waterfall Canyon. It was such a beautiful hike! I recommend it right now!

Ragnar 2009

June 19-20, 2009 I ran on team Ten Keyed Up in the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay. My uncles have a business, Ulrich & Associates, who put a team together. I was lucky enough to be one of the select few invited to run. The team was Mike, Tammy, Jennifer, & Amanda Ulrich, Clark and Kathy Ulrich, Chuck Ulrich, Cathy Hurst, Kylee Wayment, Camille Carver, and another guy who's name I cannot, for the life of me, remember. It was SOO much fun! If you ever get the chance, I would highly recommend running. I mean running 5 miles after 3 hours of sleep, what could be more fun?! My first leg (run), the 19th around 11:00am, was 7.9 miles, I ran up the Avon dirt road almost to the top. My 2nd leg was 4.6 miles at 9pm on Friday night, and I ran from Morgan High School towards East Canyon Dam. My last leg was a little 2.5 miles in Heber City, around 9am Saturday morning. The worst was definitely Avon, the heat mixed with dust from the cars driving on the dirt road, plus uphill 90% of the way made it brutal! But I survived and would do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks again to Ulrich & Associates for giving me this opportunity!

Boating and Art

FINALLY! Boating season is upon us! Kip is a pretty amazing surfer!

Cassie, Rachel, and I were extremely bored while the boys (our husbands) played Halo, so we decided to do an art project! The final project looks great girls! Pictures will be posted soon...

Girls Camp

This last week I had the opportunity to go to Girls Camp. I didn't get many pictures of our camp or the girls, but these are a few of things we saw daily. The lodge, we spent most of our time in because it seemed to ALWAYS be raining! The bridge we used to cross over the little creek to get to the Lodge. Flowers surrounded our camp, and the tractor was just cool. Even though the rain was constant we still enjoyed ourselves! We were one of the few camps whose tents actually stayed dry. I loved Girls Camp but I'm extremely happy to be home and in my bed with Kip at my side.
